The entity responsible for the collection and further processing of the personal data of users on Facebook pages is Facebook Ireland Limited (“Facebook”). Please note that Facebook also collects and processes certain information about your visit to our Facebook page even if you do not have a Facebook user account or are not logged into Facebook. Information about the processing of personal data by Facebook can be found in Facebook’s Privacy Policy.
As the operator of this Facebook page, we are able to view your public Facebook profile only. Which items of information can be viewed depends on the settings you have made in your profile. Furthermore, we process your personal data (such as your name and the content of your messages and queries and other comments sent to us) when you contact us via our Facebook page. We then process this data for the purpose of processing the above accordingly and, where appropriate, responding to it.
Facebook also provides us with what is known as Page Insights data. This data comprises anonymous statistics which help us to assess the quality of our Facebook page and its content. These statistics are generated on the basis of usage data which Facebook collects in respect of your interaction with our Facebook page. We do not have access to this usage data. Facebook has undertaken to us to bear primary responsibility for the processing of the Page Insights data and for compliance with your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”; see below for further information) and to provide you with the main points of the agreement applicable to this.
This data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1) letter f GDPR, in particular in order to be able to contact you in response to queries or comments and to identify usage preferences (e.g. number of followers, number of times individual parts of pages are accessed, user statistics by age, geography and language) and in order to improve the offering on our Facebook page and adapt it optimally to target groups.
We store your personal data on our systems, i.e. outside Facebook, when and for as long as is necessary for the purposes it was collected for, or as long as statutory retention obligations exist.
You are not obliged, either by statute or contract, to submit personal data. However, it is possible that certain functions of our web pages depend on the submission of personal data. If you do not submit personal data in these cases, this may result in functions being unavailable, or available to only a limited extent.
You have the following rights:
- Pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR, you have the right to receive information about any of your personal data stored by us. This means that you are entitled to request confirmation by us of whether your personal data is processed or not, and if it is processed, you have a right be informed about this personal data. The information to which you are entitled includes the processing purposes, the categories of personal data processed and the recipients, or categories of recipients, to which the personal data was or is disclosed. However, this right is not unconditional because the rights of other individuals may limit your right to information.
- Pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR, you have the right to have inaccurate data corrected. This means that you can demand from us the correction of your inaccurate personal data. Taking into consideration the purposes for which the data is processed, you have the right to the completion of incomplete personal data, including by means of an additional declaration.
- Pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR, you have the right to have your personal data deleted. This means that, under certain circumstances, you are entitled to demand of us that your personal data be deleted and we are obliged to delete that personal data.
- Pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR, you have the right to demand a restriction of processing of your personal data. This means that, in this case, the corresponding data is marked and is only processed by us for certain purposes (e.g. subject to your consent or in order to facilitate the assertion of legal claims).
- Pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR, under certain circumstances you have the right to receive in a structured, customary and machine-readable format the personal data concerning yourself that you have provided to us, and you have the right to send that data to another responsible person / entity without being impeded by us.
- You also have the right to contact the competent data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your habitual place of residence or in that state in which an infringement of the GDPR is asserted.
To exercise your rights in respect of data processing by Facebook, if possible please contact Facebook directly via the contact options published by Facebook on its websites.
In other cases or otherwise as necessary, please send us an e-mail to datenschutz@sauer.de.

Under certain circumstances you have the right, on grounds that arise from your special situation or where personal data is used for the purpose of direct marketing, to object to our processing of your personal data and we can be placed under an obligation to no longer process your personal data. Additionally, when personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to our processing of your personal data for the purpose of such marketing. This also applies to profiling insofar as it is connected with direct marketing. In this case, we will no longer process the personal data for these purposes.
